You Reign.
In the complex and vulnerable systems we have created,
You remain.
In the banks and the stock markets, the slums and dole queues,
You have not abandoned us.
In the jargon
the bonuses
the privileged and distorted lives,
Lord who meets people where they're at
Let your love and mercy tenderly melt hard and selfish hearts.
In the spin
the corruption
the greed and the lies,
Lord who tells it like it is
Let your truth drown out all other voices.
In the debt
the hopelessness
the just about getting by,
In the violence
the fear
the insecurity,
In the endless media frenzy,
Have your way and always have your way.
Your ways are higher than our ways
Your thoughts, higher than our thoughts.
For your purposes and for the economy of your kingdom,
give us faith that you are right in this, right now.
